Lousy customer service

I returned an item to nordstrom and the warehouse screwed up and sent me someone else's item saying i returned the wrong item. When i called the customer service, first they couldn't hear me so I hung up and called back. The second customer service person told me they would have to investigate what happened but they would not refund my money until the investigation was complete. They refused to immediately refund my money even though it showed that they had my item for 2 weeks already. I asked what should I do with the item they sent me, he told me I can take it back to a nordstrom store. I told him why should I take my time to return to the store something that is their mistake? I am also not going to pay to return it, since it is not something I asked for. When I complained to the customer service rep about the stores poor customer service policy he was nasty and condescending. This is not the first time I was treated poorly by customer service at nordstrom. With the choice of stores I would shop where they respect the customer.

Had a great experience at Nordstrom…

Had a great experience at Nordstrom Flagship store midtown Manhattan NY in july. Nordstrom has always been one of my favourite stores whenever i visit NY and they did not disappoint as usual. Bought a few items including a very nice shirt that needed express alterations as i was leaving NY early next morning. i was attend to very professionally and courteously by the store manager Lauren who handed me over to the tailor Hubert Reid. Hubert was great. He promised the shirt would be ready in 30 mins and it was. Made the customer feel much valued.
Look forward to shopping there again soon.

Worst online purchase experience

Worst online purchase experience. While ordering from Europe, to be delivered to the US (we were going for a wedding), my European bank account was blocked, then used a US bank account, order was confirmed, then canceled the next day. I then use the online chat, explain the situation, I am told I get the I will be contacted. I get an email that I need to call a number, which I do, then I talked to a very bored person, explain the situation again, to be told that I got the "green light", but I need to order again. Ì need the bridesmaid shoes so I had to re-order. But in this day and age, ordering online from any country should be easy peasy. If they thought it was a fraud, European banks have insurance, I just call the bank, get the card blocked, and get a full REFUND for any fraudulent payments. But Nordstrom raised flags to my bank and blocked my entire account.. I have direct debits. I had to call the bank. Worse online purchase experience !!

Nordstrom.com and Nordstrom - Will never shop there again

Service and merchandise quality from Nordstrom and Nordstrom.com has gone downhill for years; this is not just a COVID pandemic issue. I have tried to remain a customer (have Influencer status), but each purchase over the past couple of years has been a disappointing experience. I had the final straw with my last purchase.

Last month I purchased fragrance from Nordstrom.com. Only -after- I had purchased the item did I receive an "Order Delayed" notice on the Checkout Confirmation page stating:

"Your order may be delayed. We’re experiencing delays with order confirmation emails, purchase history updates and shipping details. But we’ve got your order and will update your order details as soon as possible."

I was beyond irritated and annoyed. Any ethical retailer would have informed the customer of these delay issues -before- purchases are made, so the customer can make an informed purchase decision.

I posted about my negative experience on Nordstrom's Fashion Advisors website. As others have posted, my negative comment/constructive criticism was deleted. So much for Nordstrom caring about customers!

When my fragrance did arrive, it came in an ugly brown box packed with the cheapest brown butcher paper. The samples with purchase were haphazardly thrown in the box. Complete lack of class from Nordstrom.

Lastly, it would not surprise me if the traditional Nordstrom stores are on their way to being closed, with only the Nordstrom Rack stores surviving. The Nordstrom Fashion Advisor website only identifies itself as the Nordstrom Rack. And, when I ordered from Nordstrom.com and inquired about having items delivered to my local Nordstrom store (not a Rack store), it routed items to a Nordstrom Rack store, which is farther away from me than my local traditional Nordstrom store. Clearly the company is trying to drive shoppers and foot traffic away from its traditional Nordstrom stores to its Rack stores. I have never shopped at a Nordstrom Rack store, and have no desire to do so.

Sad how a once great retailer has morphed into this state of disarray.

Looks like there online ordering system…

Looks like there online ordering system is down. I had places an order. but never received email with details. Online order history doesnt show up anything as well. When I contacted support, they said ther are having issues and will be fixed soon. I reached back after a day and still same issue. Support team cant even find my order or any details. They did not even send an email notifying the issue and they have no ETA on when to fix the issue.

They will receive your returns at the fulfillment
center, lose them and never refund you and tell you that it's your fault! They owe me almost 3k!!!! I was a loyal customer for many years and purchased alot, but now they don't refund me for items that I shipped back and fulfillment center received it. Great approach for earning money from innocent customers!! Nordstrom loses the items and make the customers responsible for that. The worst service ever!

End of an era

I purchased a $500 gift card to present to a friend for doing a huge favor for me. I chose Nordstrom because of the quality of their products and their vaunted reputation for customer service. I have been a customer for decades. Ouch! The recipient of the card sheepishly told me the card was no good. How embarrassing for both of us! No problem, one phone call will settle this, I thought. Wrong! The card customer service rep told me cards are non refundable for any reason. She was disinterested, in a hurry and rude. So much for the myth of Nordstrom quality and customer service... shot down in a 5 minute conversation. I had lost $500 plus I had to replace the gift. Nordstrom got their money. The retailer that sold me the card got their money. My friend got a replacement qift... a little tardy. Me? I
Got the word that Nordstrom quality is not backed up and that the revered customer service is RIP

I just want to tell about my experience Yesterday August 20th I took my two teenagers to shop at Nordstrom on 6191 S. State Street in Murray state of Utah and me and my kids were shopping when an employee just come to us and ask us if we can give her our staff to put it in the dressing room when we never asked for a dressing room my son only have a 2 t shirts on his hands nothing else and there was a lot of people around there it was so embarrassing that she just came to us it’s because we are Hispanic Doesn’t mean that we don’t have the money to buy at Expensive store we shop there a lot and we never have that experience that was very embarrassing for us because people around us they were laughing and make it fun of us I just went to the cashier and pay for four items that were close to around $400 I didn’t shop anymore because I was feeling so so bad and because my son wants the stuff and they don’t have it in all others stores arround there but I was about to jump on that lady she really pissed me off That was that really really bad experience that I wish never happened to nobody

School shoes

Very disappointed found a pair of converse for my 11-year-old daughter August 9 place the order in the size she needed order was processed money was taken out and we waited approximately a week later I received an email stating that my order was returned and a refund was issued which that's all fine and dandy but I didn't initiate a refund or return my daughter was looking forward to those shoes I reached out to customer service and all they could say was they didn't know they didn't know why that happened by the time I received the refund and the return the shoes were no longer available so I guess we're just out my first experience with Nordstrom and it'll be my last very disappointed

How do i verify the authenticity of my leather items?

A:

I have bought a fair number of designer handbags and sunglasses from Nordstrom. In all cases (depending on designer) the handbags were marked inside by the designer, where the item was made, usually a serial number and often a certificate of authenticity. This is especially true of the couture items i. E. Prada, Yves St. Laurent, etc. I have never questioned an items authenticity that I purchased from Nordstroms. They are way too big to risk their rep on fakes.
